ln joy I say this:
I call upon my Lama, the Keeper of the Diamond, and all the rest: the enlightened Buddhas, the bodhisattvas and all the community of pure beings in every corner of the Universe. Please hear me.
Here in this circle of suffering, after an infinite string of lifetimes from time with no beginning up to the present moment, I (state your name) have finally recognized the power of rejoicing in all the goodness that I and any other being, those still in suffering and those Gone Beyond have ever done.
Because I understand the truth of Profound Dependence and the truth of beginningless lifetimes I rejoice in all the kindness I have done through my body, my speech and my mind. I have cared for others in many ways. I have done the 10 virtues. I have avoided the 5 great wrongs and the 5 which are close to them. I have upheld my vows of freedom. I have closely guarded my bodhisattva vows. I have even kept a few of my secret commitments.
I have respected and served my father and mother. I have respected and served the Abbot and the Master who gave me my vows. I have respected and served my fellow disciples. I have done things to protect and share the Three Jewels. I have practiced and shared the holy Dharma. I have honored the community of higher beings. I have acted with care and concern for all living kind.
These and other beneficial deeds, a great mountain of goodness I have done. I have encouraged others to do them, I have been glad when others did them and more.
In short, I speak of the entire mass of good deeds, and the upholding of my vows and commitments that ever I have done: all those things which will ripen as freedom and beyond; all those things which will transform this circle of suffering.
Here, in the direct presence Of my Lama, the Keeper of the Diamond and all the rest: before the enlightened Buddhas, the bodhisattvas, and all the community of pure beings in every corner of the Universe, I openly offer all this goodness to you. I keep nothing back, I offer all to you. And I swear that, from this moment on I will continue to do such kindnesses. `
By sharing all, by rejoicing in all, by offering all I shall reach total enlightenment then bring every living being to that same state.
